Analysis of the Most Relevant Factors for Routing in Internet of Space Things Networks

The “Internet of Space Things” (IoST) is an emerging paradigm to provide Internet and data services around the globe. IoST networks can potentially support deployment in underserved areas, such as monitoring inaccessible areas for early warning applications, open ocean sea ice monitoring, surveillance remote ecosystems forests jungles, among others. To enable paradigm, designing developing appropriate routing protocols crucial. This work presents a methodology based on 2k factorial statistical analysis in-house developed space simulator (available upon request) identify critical factors affecting performance scenarios. analyzed consider reactive proactive approaches, connectivity, freshness information. results essential lessons research community design that could adapt under different applied study protocols’ be effective tool specialized protocols.
